We finally had a weekend at home. It has been a busy Fall and we were ready to have a weekend at home. Of course it was a weekend full of things to get done.
It started Friday night with a little shopping at Kohl's and dinner out. It was nice to have some family time because Mike has been very busy at work and we have been missing him.
The girls and I started our Saturday with an early trip to the donut shop while daddy slept a little longer. Then our morning of getting things done started. We wanted to get a lot done before the K-State game started at 11:30. Mike was out working in the yard by 8:30am and I was in the kitchen cooking a few things for a dinner party we were going to that night. We probably should have saved some chores for the afternoon because we were done watching the game by the middle of the third quarter. I love my Wildcats but it was just too painful to watch. Jillian and Mike napped during the rest of the game while Hadley and I went to get pedicures. I love the one on one time with each of my girls.
Then it was home to head to Jive Turkey. Jive Turkey is a party our good friends Bryan and Katy have every year. It is a party of traditional Thanksgiving ingredients made in nontraditional ways. This year I took Turkey Pumpkin Black Bean Chili and a Pumpkin Twinikie dessert. The party was a great time.
Sunday we went to church in the morning and Hadley and I ran errands in the afternoon. Now that she is not napping we get to do a few more one on one things together on the weekends. Sunday evening we spent hanging out at home and preparing for a busy week.
Here is a picture of the girls from earlier in the week. They were still in jammies because Hadley had strep throat and we spent three days at home.
Game time!
Cooking!
Ready for church.
I love this picture!
When I was getting Hadley ready she requested, "Two pigtails, ribbons and a headband." The girl loves accessories!
One of my new favorite pictures.
Here is to a great week!

Love the girls' church dresses. Hadley did a great job picking out that pink dress and sweater.
