Paradise!

This is where Mike and I were last weekend, Puerto Rico.  It was wonderful, relaxing, fun, fabulous, relaxing, warm, sunny, and relaxing.  Did I say relaxing???  It really was a great time.
The reason we were able to go was because of my very hard working and dedicated husband.  Each year his company host a Masters awards for their top sales people.  In 2006 he earned a trip to Cancun and this year it was to Puerto Rico.  His company takes care of all the plans.  We just show up at the airport and go from there.  We stayed at a wonderful resort, enjoyed time on the beach, 4-wheeled through the rainforest, kayaked in the ocean and just enjoyed our time together.
Here are a few of the view from our room.

The resort we stayed at had a private island and we spent all of Friday there.

This was on the boat ride over to the island.  Check out our new shades!  We all got new Maui Jim sunglasses as a gift from Mike's company.
On Saturday we relaxed all morning and then went on an adventure through the rainforest.  It was beautiful.  We even stopped to swim in a crystal clear and very cold river.

Saturday night was the awards ceremony and dinner.  We got to get all dressed up and celebrated.
It was a wonderful trip.  Thanks Mike for working so hard.  We also would not have been able to go without the help of my dad, stepmom, mom and granny.  They all were with the girls at some point over the weekend.  Here are some of the pictures my mom took while we were gone.
Hadley had a dance performance at the Riverwalk on Friday night.  I hear see did GREAT!

 Time for a floor picnic.
They spent a lot of time outside, which is on the top of their list of favorite things.

We missed the girls so much and were ready to get home to them.  They made signs to welcome us home.
Paradise was fun but I sure loved coming back to my girls and their loving!

Finally a weekend at home!

We finally had a weekend at home.  It has been a busy Fall and we were ready to have a weekend at home.  Of course it was a weekend full of things to get done.
It started Friday night with a little shopping at Kohl's and dinner out.  It was nice to have some family time because Mike has been very busy at work and we have been missing him.
The girls and I started our Saturday with an early trip to the donut shop while daddy slept a little longer.  Then our morning of getting things done started.  We wanted to get a lot done before the K-State game started at 11:30.  Mike was out working in the yard by 8:30am and I was in the kitchen cooking a few things for a dinner party we were going to that night.  We probably should have saved some chores for the afternoon because we were done watching the game by the middle of the third quarter.  I love my Wildcats but it was just too painful to watch.  Jillian and Mike napped during the rest of the game while Hadley and I went to get pedicures.  I love the one on one time with each of my girls.
Then it was home to head to Jive Turkey.  Jive Turkey is a party our good friends Bryan and Katy have every year.  It is a party of traditional Thanksgiving ingredients made in nontraditional ways.  This year I took Turkey Pumpkin Black Bean Chili and a Pumpkin Twinikie dessert.  The party was a great time.
Sunday we went to church in the morning and Hadley and I ran errands in the afternoon.  Now that she is not napping we get to do a few more one on one things together on the weekends.  Sunday evening we spent hanging out at home and preparing for a busy week.
Here is a picture of the girls from earlier in the week.  They were still in jammies because Hadley had strep throat and we spent three days at home.

 Game time!

 Cooking!
 Ready for church.

 I love this picture!
When I was getting Hadley ready she requested, "Two pigtails, ribbons and a headband."  The girl loves accessories!
One of my new favorite pictures.
Here is to a great week!

Baby Wearing 18 month style

I can't believe in 18 months I have gone from wearing her...

 to her wearing baby dolls.
And she is so relaxed doing it.
