This past weekend while Mike and I went to the K-State game, Hadley and Jillian stayed with my dad and Terry. They got to go to the zoo and do all the things that only Grandparents let them do. When we got back on Saturday night they were down in the basement watching PBR bull riding with Grandma and Grandpa. My dad and Terry are big PBR fans and go watch in many different places throughout the year. When I got downstairs I could see Hadley in the beanbag chair with her hand in the air and she was bucking back and forth. This was her riding a bull. Jillian was even getting in on the bull riding. It was quite a site. I didn't have my camera with me :(
On Sunday we got home and Mike turned the tv on to watch football. Hadley asked if she could watch bull riding. He of course said no (nothing comes between Mike and his football). A little while later Grandpa and Grandma called to remind Hadley that bull riding was on at 7. Hadley sweet talked her dad into letting her watch a little. Here she is riding her bull/ladybug.
Of course I don't think most bull riders wear dresses and wedding veils.

The rest of our weekend
On Saturday my sister headed to a wedding in Edmond. This was what the girls were doing when she left.
I was in bed off and on all day on Saturday so Mike and Lady had to hold down the fort. It was a game day, and at our house we all wear purple on game day, even our guests.
Hadley was more interested in the wedding that Auntie Jessica was at, so she chose a wedding veil for her game day attire.
The little girls wanted to get in on the dress up too.
Here is a picture of Jessica and her friend Jamie.
The day ended with a bath for the little girls.
We loved having family visit. Thanks Mom and Jessica for all your extra help while I was under the weather. I love that Hadley and Jillian have cousins so close to their age. It will be fun to see them all grow up. Now if we can just talk Uncle Matt and Auntie Jessica to move a little closer :)

Back in the swing of things
Wow, it has been a long time since my last post. I wish I could say it was because I was on a tropical vacation. That is not the case. Instead I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out and it was not a good experience. After 6 days of the worst pain I have ever felt I am on the road to recovery. I was one of the unlucky people who gets dry socket and it was horrible but a little packing of the socket and I am good to go.
The good news is the girls were in great hands while I was under the weather. Mike's mom was able to come for the first few days and she was a great help. The girls loved having Granny here with them. Mike was also a huge help and makes a great nurse. After Mike's mom left my mom, sister and niece came for a visit. I am so glad they were here but just wish I felt a little better while they were here.
Jessica and Sophia got here on Thursday. I was actually feeling a little better this day and was able to pick them up at the airport. The cousins were very excited to see each other.
Sophia had a long trip and was out after just a few minutes in the truck.
After getting to the house it was time to start playing.
Then it was time for a story from Auntie Jessica. There was a lot of reading all weekend. These girls all have a love of books.
Next up some fun with headbands.
Hadley loves her cousin Sophia.
Lady arrived just a couple hours later. She was greeted by 3 very happy granddaughters.
Hadley wasted no time taking advantage of having her girly, girl aunt around. They were like 2 peas in a pod. Hadley gave lots of manicures and pedicures over the weekend.
By the end of the night we had 3 very tired girls.
On Friday, Hadley went to school in the morning so the little girls enjoyed some time together.
Lady and I went to pick Hadley up from school and this is what we came back to.
Just as we were sitting down for lunch our next guests arrived. My Granny and Grandpa drove down to spend the day with us.
Hadley found someone that would let her talk nonstop :) At one point Grandpa and Hadley went out in the back yard. Hadley was talking when they went out and was still talking about 20 minutes later. When we looked out the window Hadley had a princess and Grandpa had a horse. I don't think she let him talk the whole time.
We enjoyed some time outside.
Then it was back inside for more pedicures and a little ring around the rosie.

First Day of School
I can't believe that this little baby is old enough to go to school a few days a week.
Today was Hadley's first day of preschool. She is going to preschool at the local Baptist church. She is in the 3 year old room. She will be going 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a day. It is going to be quite a change not having her with me during that time. I think that Jillian will enjoy the one on one time.
We got ready a little early today so we could do pictures.
Daddy stayed home to go with us on the first day.
It was t-shirt day so they wore their school shirts.
Me and my big girl. I only shed a few tears this morning. They were happy tears. I know she is ready for school and will learn and have a ton of fun. I will miss her dearly but will enjoy my special time with Jillian.
Walking into school with daddy and Jillian.
When we picked her up she said she had a great time. She was even the "Shining Star" in music. She said her favorite part was reading, snack and the playground.
And one picture of my buddy for the morning to finish the post.

Labor Day Weekend
We have had a busy and fun Labor Day weekend. We headed to Kansas on Friday night. On Saturday the girls stayed with Lady while Mike and I headed to the first K-State game of the season. We had a great time and loved that the Wildcats started the season with a win.
Here we are before we left for the game.
Our niece Megan is a freshman at K-State this year. We took her to lunch and she walked to the game with us.
We hope she enjoys K-State as much as we did. We also got to meet up with friends before the game but I didn't have my camera with me. While we were at the game the girls were busy with Lady. They went to the park, made jewelry, played with Brylee and Brennen, and had a great time.
On Sunday we headed to Grandpa Kent and Grandma Terry's house to celebrate Grandpa Kent's birthday. The water in the pool was very cold so our swimming was quick. Granny and Aunt Lisa came to spend time with us as well.
Auntie Cammie brought the girls some new hats. Jillian loved hers and Uncle J got to wear Hadley's.
Grandpa opening his birthday cards.
Jillian and Grandma Terry.
Brennen having some fun outside.
Granny getting some love from Jillian.
Brylee
Aunt Lisa hanging by the pool.
When the camera comes out this is Jillian's face.
We headed home late Sunday night so we could have a day to get back in our routine before Hadley starts school. Her first day is tomorrow. To celebrate school starting Hadley and I went to get pedicures today. Hadley loved it!
I will be back tomorrow with first day of school pictures tomorrow.
