Christmas Recap Part One

This is the first of many posts to catch up on our week celebrating Christmas. We had a great time with lots of family.
First things first, Christmas Day. Hadley woke us up at 5:30am on Christmas morning. We convinced her to get in bed with us for about 30 minutes and then Jillian was up and ready to start the day. Hadley was so excited to see if Santa had come. This is what she found when she walked into the living room.

She was very calm and took it all in. Kind of unusual for Hadley :) She then got right to work playing and didn't want to stop and look at her other presents. We finally convinced her to check out what else Santa brought. Santa was very good to both girls. Jillian was a little overwhelmed by everything but got right to playing.

Santa brought Jillian a train push and ride toy. She loved it. In fact both the girls have loved it and we have to remind Hadley that Santa brought it to Jillian. One of the favorite items of the morning was the wedding dress and veil that Hadley got. She put it right on and wore it most of the morning.
Here comes the bride...
Hadley got Daddy a book called Dance With Me Daddy. Here they are reading it.
After presents it was time for our Happy Birthday Jesus breakfast. We sang and blew out the candles.
After breakfast it was nap time for Jillian and more playing for Hadley. During this time Mike and I were trying to make the decision if we were headed to Kansas or not. We had a ton of snow and many of the highways in Oklahoma were closed. We finally decided we would leave in the afternoon and give the trip a try. But first Hadley and Mommy had some playing in the snow to do.

After playing in the snow we got packed up and headed to Kansas. We had no idea how long it would take us. It took us about 5 hours and usually takes us 3 hours. The kiddos did amazing. Jillian slept almost the whole way and Hadley slept and watched movies.
We were a couple hours late to Mike's mom's but I think they understood. We still got to see everyone and the kids had a great time.
Granny and Hadley reading her new Dora book.Hadley playing the piano Granny and Grandad got her.
Hadley in her new princess shirt.Look at this great present.
We had a good time with Mike's family. After celebrating there we packed up and drove to my dad's where we were staying. Next up more celebrating.

Love the pictures of playing in the snow. I have to say that I am not going to miss the snow too much when we head back to Phoenix in a few hours. We are headed back to 70 degree weather. :) We will miss everyone. It was great to spend time with you guys this Christmas.

LOVE the pictures! That doll house is awesome... And so many pieces... You must have been on the naughty list ;) The picture of Hadley playing in the snow is great, but I hate it when my gloves get covered in snow. How annoying and cold. Can't wait to see you next weekend! XOXOXO

And this is the mother that said, "Don't get my children any toys!"?
