Here is the outfit that Hadley wore to playgroup today. It included tutu, ballet shoes, headband that was way too small, bracelets, capris and a shirt. She was the most trendy one there.

Our weekend
Our weekend had been full of great family time. I think we are finally getting the hang of this family of 4 stuff.
Then we tried again and she got a little closer.
I thought this picture was cute.
This was Hadley's outfit for Sunday afternoon. Please let me know if you would like her to be your fashion consultant.
Saturday morning we broke out the sprinkler that Hadley got for her birthday. She was scared at first and would only go this close.
Then we tried again and she got a little closer.
By the end she was running up and touching the sprinkler.
I thought this picture was cute.
After nap on Saturday, Hadley and mommy had art time.
Daddy and Jillian had video game time. This was Hadley's outfit for Sunday afternoon. Please let me know if you would like her to be your fashion consultant.
We also spent a good majority of the weekend working on potty training. I think we came to the conclusion that she just isn't ready and that is ok.

TGIF!
Thank goodness it is Friday! I love Fridays, it means I have an extra set of hands around for a couple of days. This weekend is even better with the extra day.
We started off are Holiday weekend with some fun. Grandlady was in town for the day. She is on her way to visit my sister and family. The girls loved getting some Grandlady time. She even watched both the girls while I got my hair cut. Why is it so hard to leave your little one for the first time even if you are only gone 1.5 hours?
Here is a picture of the girls with Grandlady. Check out Hadley's face.
Here is picture of my chunk of love hanging out in one of her favorite spots, the swing.
Our new friends joined us too.
After dinner it was time for some bubble fun.
Here is what chunk of love did the whole time we were outside.
I will leave you with a picture of my favorite flowers in the yard. Mike gets all the credit for gardening. I just sit back and enjoy the view. Have a great weekend.

Earlier this week Hadley and I had some visitors in the garage, 2 ducks. We had to get them out by giving them bread. Well, I guess they liked it because they have been in our yard all week. We fed them once and they won't leave.
Here are some pictures from the front yard today.
After we dropped Grandlady off at the airport and Mike finished up yard work we headed to get dinner. We picked up pizza and brought it home. It was so beautiful out that we decided to eat on the patio.

Yes my daughter is in a tutu. When they are 2, you must choose your battles wisely.

Weekend Recap
We had a good weekend here. Saturday was spent hanging around the house. I realized as I went to make dinner that I was still in my pajamas. Oh well! It was cloudy and rainy most of the day so we spent it inside.
Hadley got some finger paints so we had to try them out.
On Sunday we had church and then Mike's mom and sister came for the day.
Hadley decided we should call her princess from now on.
Jillian did this most of the day.

Hadley had to teach them her new game of playing band. She plays the drums and everyone else has to pretend their blocks are flutes. She is a very strict band leader and you can't start until she counts to three and starts banging her drum.

One of the things that Mike's mom brought was a gift from Mike's stepdad. He is in Afghanistan until September and has been shopping for Hadley while he is there. Here are the 2 outfits he has sent her.
We spent most of the day outside today but I didn't get any pictures. Sorry, I had my hands full. I hope everyone is having the same beautiful weather that we are.

Lunch
Why is it that anytime a meal needs made both children want your attention? That was the case at lunch today. So I found a simple solution...
Jillian in the sling
This made lunch making speedy and that made this toddler smile.
Ok, maybe it was the mac and cheese :)

Colds
We are in the middle of colds at our house and it is no fun. I hate when newborns get sick. Hadley just has a runny nose but Jillian is all stuffed up. Poor thing doesn't know what to do. I have been letting her sleep in her swing so she is more up right. Hopefully this sickness is gone soon.
Here are a couple of pictures from last week. I had Jillian on the floor so Hadley needed down there too. If I am wrapping Jillian in a blanket Hadley needs wrapped up too. It is very cute.

Great Mother's Day!
Thank you God for blessing me with two wonderful daughters!
After church we picked up Arby's and took it home. Mike was in charge of meals all day. We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Then we hung out and played for a little bit. Next was nap time. That was all I wanted for Mother's Day. Boy did I get what I wanted. Hadley took a 2.5 hour nap, Jillian a 3 hour nap and I got a 2 hour nap. Mike must have sweet talked both girls to sleep at the same time.
What a great Mother's Day. I am still in awe that I am a mother of two. What a blessing each girl is to me.

After nap Hadley and daddy got busy making me a cake. It was great. While they were baking, Jillian and I hung out and played. She loves her tummy time so much she fell asleep not long after this picture.
After Mike and Hadley baked a cake they got busy making dinner. We had salad, bread, steaks, and baked potatoes. It was delicious.
I am so lucky to have 2 wonderful girls and a wonderful husband.
