First Birthday

Monday was Jillian's first birthday and we had a fun day celebrating.  We started the morning with presents.  You will notice that one of the presents was a little unwrapped to start.  Hadley decided she should try and unwrap it before I could stop her.  She said she was just helping Jillian :)

After presents it was time for birthday muffins.

This little girl was so excited that is was her sister's birthday.  She even woke up this morning and the first thing she asked was, "Is Jillian still one?"  What a good big sister she is.

Then is was time for a mini photo shoot before we headed to playgroup.

I love this picture because you can see some of her teeth.

Here is a picture of the some of the cupcakes we took to playgroup.  Hadley picked them out of our cupcake cookbook.  They are fish.  These are Hadley's creations.

After dinner it was time to blow out the candle and enjoy some cupcakes.

Jillian seemed to enjoy it until she realized it was all over her hands.

I think that Jillian had a great 1st birthday!  She will get to celebrate more in May when we have a combined party for her and Sophia in Kansas.  It should be a fun time!

One Year Old

Today our baby turns one year old.

Good place to relax

Everyone needs a good place to kick back and relax.  Especially with a princess book.

New tricks...

Jillian has learned two new tricks,

Enjoying...

We have been enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend.  We even ate outside for lunch yesterday.  It is going to be beautiful all week and I plan to have the girls outside as much as possible.  Here are a few pictures from being outside.

Proof

I just needed some proof that Jillian does in fact sleep.  It hasn't been much lately.  I am blaming teeth for now.

The other day we got a box in the mail.  After taking stuff out of it I went to the other room.  This is what I found when I came back.

I asked her where she wanted me to mail her. She said, "To the moon."  Sweetie I would really miss you if you went to the moon.  I love you!

Easter weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend here at home.   It started on Friday evening when we dyed eggs.  This was a first for Hadley.  She mostly watched daddy do it but they had a great time.

Jillian enjoyed running around the kitchen the whole time.

On Saturday, we went to a local church's Easter egg hunt.  They put out 50,000 eggs.  I would say hide but they basically throw them in a big open area and let the kids grab them.  They rope off different areas for different age groups.  They also have a bunch of bounce houses.  Hadley had a great time getting eggs and Jillian loved watching all the crazy people.

On Sunday we had to wake up and see what the Easter bunny had left.

Then it was time for a few quick pictures before we left for church.  I love that these pictures capture exactly who my girls are right now.  Hadley loves to make some goofy faces but will usually smile for the camera.  Jillian just wants to be running at all times.

After church it was home for lunch and naps.  Then we spent a little time outside enjoying the nice weather.  All in all it was a great weekend spent as a family.
