3 months

Little man is 3 months old.  He is growing and changing everyday.  He is still a momma's boy and occasionally likes his daddy.  He spends a lot of time in my arms.  He loves to watch his sisters but could do without the screaming.  He gets startled very easily.  He likes his playmat and talks to his light up star.  He hates the car.  I would say he screams 80% of the time in the car.  It is not fun.  He starts to scream the minute you put him in his carseat.  This does not make school pick-up fun.  He sleeps great at night and is beginning to nap better.  He is usually in bed by 6:30pm or 7pm and gets up once to eat around 3am and then back to sleep until 6:30am or 7am.  He loves his binky.  He has started to grab at things purposely.  He is also getting very good at rolling up on his side.  Part of me wants this all to slow down since he is our last baby.

Here is Little T at 3 months

And here he is with my helper for the photo shoot.

Visitors

The last two weekends we have been lucky and had visitors.  Two weeks ago Mike's mom came for the weekend.  She was able to see Hadley play soccer, tour the house, play with the kiddos and be at our 100 year celebration at church.  It was a busy weekend.

Last weekend my mom came to visit.  It was her birthday on Sunday the 23rd.  We are so glad she came to celebrate it with us.  We tried our best to pamper her all weekend. The girls decorated a door for her.

When she got here we took her out for frozen yogurt.  Saturday she got to watch Hadley play soccer, tour the new house, get a pedicure, take a nap and watch K-State beat OU.   She even managed to read a few chapters of Charlotte's Web to the girls while they ate snack.

Sunday we took her to church and Sunday school.  Then it was home to celebrate with cake.

We hope she had a great birthday.  The next time we have visitors will be when we are moving!!!

Glasses

A couple of weeks ago I took Hadley and Jillian in for eye checkups.  This was their first time at the eye doctor and boy am I glad we went.  I really scheduled the appointment for Hadley since she is in "big school" now.  I decided to go ahead and have Jillian's eyes checked because we were there.  Good thing because that cutie couldn't see very well and needed glasses.  She was so excited.  Hadley was a little disappointed because she wanted glasses.  Jillian picked her glasses out and spent the next week asking over and over again if we could pick them up yet.  She was so excited when I picked her up at school and told her we were going to get them.  She started singing, "It's glasses time."  She loves them and wears them like a champ.  We have made a few trips to the eye doctor for repairs.  I am sure they will know us well.
Here she is reading a book.

Modeling her glasses.

Another house update

We are a little over 2 weeks out from closing and we can't wait.  Each visit the house looks more and more like a house.  They painted the outside last week.

 The wood floors were stained.

They tiled in the kitchen and put in counter tops.

I can't wait to see what progress they have made this week.  Guess it is time to start thinking about packing up the apartment.

Soccer

Last Saturday was Hadley's first soccer game of the season.  The weather was beautiful and Hadley did a great job.  She even scored a goal.  She was very tired after the game.  Guess we need to do a little conditioning :)  Watching her play soccer is so much fun and I can't wait to see her improve as the season goes on.

House Update

I finally have more pictures of the house.  I just hadn't found time to get there and get pictures when there were not workers around.  We are getting so excited.  The house is really getting put together.  We have 24 more days until closing (not that we are counting).  I loved seeing the walls painted, trim up and painted and cabinets in.  The OCD in me loved all the shelving in the closets and I am already organizing in my head.

This is in the office.  I was a little nervous about this paint color but I love it with the trim.
Doors from the office to the entryway.  They have glass in them but are covered in tape from painting.
This is our drop zone right as you walk in from the garage.  It will be a lifesaver in collecting backpacks and shoes.
Fireplace and two girls who had just been told to stop running wild.
The windows in our living room.  Now to order window coverings, yikes!
 The kitchen.

My beloved pantry.  Mike gets his garage and I get the pantry of my dreams.
Just a door to show the style we picked throughout the house.  This is also the paint color in all the rooms except the dining room and office.
Close up of the tile in the kitchen.  This tile is also in the bathrooms and laundry room.

I didn't get a picture of the outside.  It was hot and I had a crying baby.  Next time.

Everyday life

Now that I am kind of getting back into the blogging groove I have been taking more pictures.  We haven't been doing too many exciting things.  We have been getting used to our new school schedule and just trying to relax on the weekends.  Only a few more weekends of relaxing and then it will be time to move.  We are excited to be closing on our new house on September 28th.  I will hopefully be back with new pictures from the house soon.  Until then here are a few pictures of our time at home.

Trenton is beginning to like his play mat.
The girls love to play school.  All the papers are for their students.  Hadley is usually the teacher and Jillian is the student named Hadley.  Can we tell who is in charge?

A half smile from Little T.
Jillian decided to read Trenton a princess story.

Coloring is a favorite activity at our house.

Hadley is a huge help with Trenton.  Many times she is able to hold him while I get a few things done.  This time she even managed to rock him to sleep.
This is a common sight at our house on the weekend.   I think these boys love their cuddle time.
This sums up how Jillian felt on Friday and Saturday this weekend.  Being back at school gave her some yucky germs and she got a cold.  Good news is she is feeling better.
And this one was full of energy this weekend.  She is loving school and even got to get a reward from the principal for being a big helper.  We are so proud of her.
This picture and their outfits say a lot about their personalities.
The girls managed to have a little time before church to play school.  This picture was right after I found Hadley posing Jillian against the wall like she was on the cross.  Hadley was nailing her hands to the cross.  Nothing like acting out the Bible.
Speaking of Bible, we love the "Storybook Bible."  The girls many times use it and a microphone to preach.  The other day Jillian brought it to me open to the story of Jonah and the whale.  She said, "Mom, Jonah was in the whale because he didn't listen to God.  And the whale spit him out."  I asked her who helped Jonah get out of the whale and she said, "the whale's spit did mom."  I had to laugh and then talk about how Jonah prayed to God for help.
While the girls were playing school Trenton had time for a nap before church.
Here is the little man ready for church.  This is one of my favorite outfits he has.  My friend Jill got it for him.
Sunday afternoon supervising of the girls doing a little painting.

That is about all we have been doing around here.  We are ready to move and have a backyard to go play in and a place to ride bikes.  First it needs to cool back down a little.
